ST. PETERSBURG CREATES A NEW CONCEPT
Aurora Fashion Week is an international fashion event that is based in St. Petersburg. The event will be introduced to the public in May 2010 showcasing F/W/ 2010 Collection. AFW will proceed to be held twice a year from this point.
The International Fashion Week Institute, also based in St. Petersburg, along with the local government together have collaborated together to create this new concept- Aurora Fashion Week. The main goal of AFW is to create an atmosphere comfortable for international fashion industry professionals for work in Russia. Where is better to do this than the cultural capital of Russia – St. Petersburg!
From the 17th to the 23rd of May, Aurora Fashion Week will be held in one of the most majestic venues St. Petersburg has to offer – “Manezh.” Manezh is a venue open for processions right in the heart of the city. The show room “ Manezh” will be host for the opening of the first season of Aurora Fashion Week F/W 2010.
The schedule of the F/W 2010 is comprised of show days that will present International Designers, Russian Designers, and Local Designers, respectively. In addition to the cat walks, several events designed specifically for professionals such as buyers will be held.
